Arignar Anna Govt. Arts College, Cheyyar with nearly 5,000 students celebrated its Golden Jubilee during my tenure as Principal of the College. I had organized the entire two-day program which was chaired by Tamilnadu Govt. Ministers with participation by the District Collector and many eminent persons drawn from the judiciary, legal, political and academic fields. The college premises also received an uplift, a 2-km road was laid, and the buildings were painted after 25 long years. Green cover was provided for the first time in front of all department buildings. The Golden Jubilee programs were widely appreciated by the visitors, alumni, staff and students and the local populace. At the valedictory function, the entire auditorium rose to give a standing ovation in appreciation of my efforts in ensuring the successful conduct of the celebrations.
